Virtru Receives 2016 Google Cloud Global Partner Award for Solution Innovation

Virtru, a provider of business privacy and data protection to more than 5,000 organizations around the world, has received the Google Cloud Global Partner Award for Solution Innovation.

“This award is a testament to the hard work of our team, the strength of our partnership, and the value we’re delivering to Google Cloud customers,” said John Ackerly, CEO and co-founder of Virtru. “We’re honored by this award and excited to continue to expand our partnership with Google Cloud.”

google cloud platformThe Google Cloud Partner Award for Solution Innovation recognizes Virtru for its contribution to Google Cloud solutions through their expertise and commitment to delivering “cutting-edge, easy-to-use encryption and data protection products for customers.” Virtru’s integration with G Suite would allow organizations to maintain exclusive control of their data across platforms, both when stored with Google and, most importantly, when shared with third parties.

The strong collaboration between Virtru and Google Cloud would support customers with stringent regulatory and business privacy requirements across industries, such as financial services, healthcare, media, government, and manufacturing.

Virtru also enables customers to add encryption and persistent protection to highly sensitive data with customer supplied keys, all while embracing the cloud. To that end, Virtru’s Customer Key Server (CKS) would provide a high level of data privacy for organizations who are making the move to the cloud by ensuring that only explicitly authorized parties have access to unencrypted content and encryption keys.

“Having a vibrant, thriving tech partner ecosystem is critical to our success, extending the surface area of Google Cloud’s innovation to benefit our shared customers,” said Nan Boden, Head of Global Technology Partners, Google Cloud. “We are proud to provide this recognition to Virtru, whose solutions address our customer needs using Google Cloud.”
