VMware Cross-Cloud Services Now Accessible on Oracle Cloud Marketplace

VMware boothUsers may now access VMware Cross-Cloud services via the Oracle Cloud Marketplace. VMware clients may benefit from quicker innovation, increased resilience, and more effective application migration and operation on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) by using VMware Cross-Cloud services.

For Oracle users looking for reliable business software and services that provide distinctive solutions – including those that expand Oracle Fusion Cloud software – Oracle Cloud Marketplace serves as a one-stop shop.

VMware Cross-Cloud services are a family of multi-cloud services customers can use to build, run, and manage applications on OCI. Now, enterprises may upgrade their mission-critical business applications on OCI by using their current Oracle Universal Credits to consume VMware Cross-Cloud services via private offers. This provides users with an “easier and faster way” to access the cloud.

The Oracle Cloud Marketplace now offers the following VMware Cross-Cloud services:

  • VMware Tanzu – A platform for modular applications that may be used to create, manage, and enhance contemporary programs running on several clouds. VMware Tanzu Kubernetes Grid, VMware Tanzu Application Service, and VMware Tanzu Mission Control Self-Managed are the current Tanzu products offered in the market.
  • VMware Aria – An array of end-to-end solutions for managing infrastructure and application delivery, performance, cost, and configuration. It is a multi-cloud management portfolio. VMware Aria Universal Suite and VMware Aria Operations for Networks are two of the current Aria products on the market.
  • VMware Site Recovery Manager (SRM) – an on-demand disaster recovery-as-a-service program that offers cloud flexibility and economics while safeguarding vital data and applications.

Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI)

According to Abhay Kumar, Vice President of VMware’s hyperscalers and technology partners, “Today marks another step in the continued evolution of the VMware and Oracle partnership as together we help customers in their continued transition to the cloud. Building on our announcement that customers can access Oracle Cloud VMware Solution through our VMware Cloud Universal program, we are now enabling customers to purchase VMware Cross-Cloud services through the Oracle Cloud Marketplace and expedite app and cloud modernization initiatives using their pre-approved IT budgets.”

Chris Sullivan, Vice President of Strategic Partnerships at Oracle, said, “We are excited to expand our partnership with VMware by making their Cross-Cloud services available in the Oracle Cloud Marketplace. By offering an even more complete suite of VMware solutions, our ongoing partnership highlights our shared commitment to delivering tremendous value to our customers.” We eagerly anticipate the fascinating opportunities that lay ahead.”

OCI is a comprehensive and extensive platform of cloud infrastructure services that lets users create and operate a variety of applications in a “high-performance, scalable, secure, and highly available environment.” OCI would offer “complete security and performance in a variety of domains, including application development, business analytics, data management, integration, security, artificial intelligence, and infrastructure services like Kubernetes and VMware.

Additionally, OCI’s distributed cloud would give clients the advantages of the cloud with more control over data residency, localization, and authority – even across many clouds – through multicloud, hybrid cloud, public cloud, and dedicated cloud choices. Customers may therefore “swiftly and effectively” move corporate workloads to the cloud while adhering to the most stringent regulatory compliance standards.
