VPS.net, part of UK2 Group, announced today the availability of its “high speed” SSD Virtual Private Servers (VPS) in its new data center in New York City. Built with the latest specifications and featuring robust connections to the New York International Internet Exchange (NYIIX), the virtual servers would meet the demands of developers, systems administrators and small businesses.
The SSD powered virtual servers (VPS hosting) are built with the latest Intel Xeon processors, enterprise-grade RAID 10 Solid State Drives (SSDs) and “fast” DDR4 RAM. The strategically located data center, along with high specification servers, would allow VPS.net customers to offer fast, responsive websites and applications.
“We continue to build our capabilities at our newly launched New York City data center,” said John Morris, COO of UK2 Group. “These servers give the perfect combination of a strategic eastern US location with our highest performance specification to date. Our most popular sizes offer more cores, more bandwidth and more disk space than competitor equivalents, ensuring value for money too.”
New York City is the third of its 19 data center locations that VPS.net offers its recently launched SSD powered virtual servers, which are also available in Salt Lake City and London.
UK2 Group is the parent company of a global group of web hosting brands, which also include UK2.net, WestHost, Midphase and 100TB.
