DreamHost, a global provider of managed web hosting and Managed WordPress hosting services, has launched an integration of G Suite, Google’s set of intelligent apps – Gmail, Docs, Drive, Calendar, Hangouts and more. G Suite is designed with real-time collaboration and machine intelligence to bring people together and help them work smarter and safer.
Website owners rely on email addresses attached to their domain to present a professional image to their visitors. Today’s news would mean that DreamHost users can now bring the domain of their choice to Gmail, which would provide “advanced email with a huge inbox, lightning-fast search,” built-in instant messaging, voice calling, and video chat. Users can send and receive email using Gmail’s web-based client, or via the mail client of their choice using IMAP or POP.
Google’s Artificial Intelligence (AI) is baked into G Suite with features like Smart Compose, Explore, Quick Access, Nudging and Smart Reply. G Suite gives businesses tools that provide transparency and help them secure their data.
“As dedicated users of G Suite ourselves, we understand first-hand the value that it brings to anyone who relies on the web to run a business,” said Justin Lund, DreamHost’s Director of Product. “We were early adopters of G Suite’s apps over a decade ago, and we’re thrilled to be able to offer G Suite for all of our users today. Bringing this level of power to your own domain name is something that our users are going to find extremely beneficial.”
G Suite is available immediately to all DreamHost customers with at least one DreamHost-hosted domain, and can be added to accounts from within DreamHost’s customer control panel.
“We are excited to work with DreamHost to bring the power of G Suite to their customers,” said Kevin O’ Kane, Managing Director of Partnerships, Google Cloud. “Google Cloud is always looking to integrate with standout partners to help businesses build trust with customers, collaborate, and succeed in the cloud.”
The DreamHost G Suite Basic package includes 30GB of online storage. Their G Suite Business package bumps the storage up to 1TB, while granting unlimited storage for domains with five or more users. All G Suite users, regardless of subscription tier, have access to Gmail and the rest of G Suite’s web-based productivity tools.
