Webair, a provider of managed hosting solutions headquartered in New York, has announced the launch of its SAP Cloud Hosting solution. The private cloud offering combines Webair‘s end-to-end managed infrastructure and expertise with global enterprise and business solutions provider HMS Technology Group’s management of SAP software and applications.
Webair’s SAP Cloud Hosting offering includes legacy migration, installation and configuration, licensing and application support, and post-migration optimization. The solution would also encompass high availability hosting, business continuity and disaster recovery, and SAP BASIS support.
The development underscores Webair’s mission to take complete ownership, accountability and control of the entire technology stack – from the physical data center to the end-user application.
“By deploying Webair’s SAP Cloud Hosting solution, enterprises become empowered to gain real-time insight into operations and key stakeholders to make intelligent business decisions, faster,” said Sagi Brody, Chief Technology Officer (CTO) at Webair. “We take complete ownership and responsibility for all layers of customers’ SAP infrastructure, providing full stack management and enterprise-grade hardware with accountability from one provider – from the bare metal to the application.”
SAP HANA
A key SAP focus for Webair is SAP HANA. SAP HANA would combine database and application platform capabilities, enabling enterprises to reduce transactional speeds from weeks to seconds, obtain real-time analytics, improve predictive and spatial processing, and reduce their footprint and storage costs by eliminating additional systems.
Additional platform advantages for customers would include text analytics and search, spatial data processing, predictive analytics and processing, series data processing, and streaming data processing. SAP HANA implementation would require no expensive implementation consultants, nor changing of SQL queries. Customers can also optimize their SAP Cloud Hosting solution with access to Webair’s value-added services, including Disaster Recovery-as-a-Service (DRaaS), Hybrid Cloud services including Colocation, Private and Public Cloud, Managed Backups and tiered Cloud Storage.
Webair can deliver SAP applications through a host of delivery options, including directly via the Internet and Virtual Private Network (VPN) tunnels, private line to customer networks or through customers’ existing Multiprotocol Label Switching (MPLS) networks.
