Egenera, a provider of wholesale cloud services and cloud management software to the channel, and Asigra – a cloud backup, recovery and restore software provider, have announced a partnership that enables Egenera to deliver a comprehensive, secured Backup-as-a-Service wholesale offering, called Xterity Essential Backup as a Service (E-BaaS).
E-BaaS is based on multi-tenant, agentless Asigra Cloud Backup and would be ideal for organizations with remote employees and branch offices seeking safe, secured daily backups to the cloud.
Xterity’s business continuity offerings now include three choices, including:
- Xterity E-BaaS – Xterity Essential BaaS would provide “set it and forget it” backup simplicity for end user devices (desktops, laptops) and servers requiring daily backups with a standard 30-day retention.
- Xterity Premier BaaS (P-BaaS) – Backup services for companies requiring more flexible, customizable backup frequency and retention options, and 24x7x365 status monitoring by Xterity Cloud Operations.
- Xterity Premier Disaster Recovery as a Service (P-DRaaS) – Xterity Premier business continuity services includes both disaster recovery and backup services.
“With Egenera’s addition of E-BaaS, Entatech can now offer a complete range of backup services for our partners to sell into the UK SME marketplace, in addition to the enterprise market,” said Paul Lloyd, cloud practice manager at Entatech, a UK-based Xterity distributor. “The cloud market does not require a ‘one size fits all’ solution as the flexibility of cloud solutions now means you can have the ‘right fit’, not just ‘a fit’. With E-BaaS, we can start simple by setting up customers with the tools required and allowing the service to run seamlessly. With our pay-as-you-go model, there is a low cost of entry into cloud services for our partners and sensible margin available for those who invest the time.”
Xterity delivers a full range of brandable dedicated, managed, private and public cloud services, including BaaS, as well as Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS), Disaster Recovery as-a-Service (DRaaS), and CloudMigrate exclusively through the channel. Xterity‘s business continuity services would provide partners a great cloud entry point to quickly begin offering high value cloud services with no up-front capital or ongoing maintenance costs. Xterity supports HIPAA compliance and is hosted in Tier 3 and Tier 3+ datacenters worldwide.
“We are very pleased to welcome Egenera into the global Asigra partner ecosystem and look forward to collaborating closely with them to achieve their core goals through the delivery of backup services,” said Eran Farajun, executive vice president, Asigra. “As more and more organizations move workloads to the cloud, Egenera and its wholesale partners are well positioned to deliver secure, reliable data protection services for traditional and new data sources like Office 365 to customers worldwide.”
