Cyber Monday is expected to be the largest online shopping day of all time, generating $3.36 billion in sales with 9.4 percent growth – according to Adobe‘s 2016 Digital Insights Shopping Predictions for the holiday season. WiredTree, a VPS hosting provider from Chicago, Illinois, has significantly increased the resources available to its VPS hosting and Hybrid hosting clients – just in time for Cyber Monday (and Black Friday).
This year, mobile will continue to play a major role in holiday shopping. In fact, the Adobe study is predicting that mobile will even overtake desktop for the first time in terms of driving visits to a website during the holiday season. However, desktop conversion rates are almost three times those of smartphones. Consumers also tend to put a bit less in their carts via smartphones – an average of $35 less per transaction, says Adobe.
“We regularly level-up our managed hosting plans at no extra cost because we want our clients always to have the best hardware to support their businesses,” said Zac Cogswell, President of WiredTree. “The most recent level-up will make a substantial difference to site owners and eCommerce merchants in the run up to the holiday season – we’re gifting them enhanced performance and increased storage just when they need it the most.”
The recent round of level-ups includes both WiredTree’s SSD VPS Server and Hybrid Server plans. All WiredTree Pure SSD Managed VPS plans will receive enhancements to memory, storage, and bandwidth. A typical example is the SSD 2000 plan, which will benefit from an additional 512 MB of RAM, a 25% bump in SSD storage to 50 GB, and an extra 2 TB of bandwidth.
Managed Hybrid SSD Servers aimed at clients that require no-compromise performance, benefit from an even more substantial increase in resources, with an extra Gigabyte of RAM, 10 GB of SSD storage, and 2 TB of bandwidth.
All WiredTree server plans incorporate a comprehensive range of management services, including security updates, website and server optimization, proactive monitoring and service restoration, and WiredTree’s ServerShield security hardening service with advanced firewall and brute force protection, malware scanning, and spam prevention.
