Zadara Storage, a provider of enterprise-grade Storage-as-a-Service (STaaS), has announced that its Virtual Private Storage Array (VPSA) platform is now available via TelecityGroup’s Cloud-IX ecosystem. Cloud-IX is TelecityGroup’s software-defined networking platform across 39 data centers across Europe, enabling customers to access multiple cloud hosting services, toolsets and solutions through a single, dedicated, secured connection.
The Cloud-IX platform removes the need for customers to perform any network connectivity integration directly. Through an intuitive self-service portal, users can order, set up and change their Cloud-IX service. Cloud-IX is available throughout TelecityGroup’s European estate of data centers, providing direct connectivity to Zadara Storage’s STaaS and cloud hosting providers, including Amazon Web Services (AWS) and Microsoft Azure.
The extended service connectivity means that businesses can meet strict regulatory compliance requirements for data storage through a combination of Cloud-IX’s dedicated, private connection that bypasses the public Internet, and Zadara Storage’s advanced file encryption that is controlled by the end-user. This would offer enhanced levels of control and security over data stored on the platform.
Zadara’s STaaS model also offers enterprise-grade features such as improved service reliability and Quality of Service (QoS), as well as extensive backup and disaster recovery options.
“Zadara’s pure OpEx enterprise platform is another important addition to our vibrant Cloud-IX ecosystem that provides choice and flexibility to our customers,” said James Tyler, Chief Commercial Officer, TelecityGroup. “Through direct connectivity to enterprise storage-as-a-service platforms, businesses can access flexible and scalable local storage that meets data sovereignty and compliance requirements.”
