ZZ Servers, a web hosting provider headquartered in Pittsburgh, PA, has partnered with InterWorx to build its new shared hosting solution. The InterWorx Control Panel, Version 5, allows ZZ Servers to deploy and manage a PCI Level 1 validated platform that also conforms to numerous other regulatory and industry standards.
The PCI-compliant shared hosting environment uses InterWorx to deploy web servers and database servers on separate firewalled networks. PCI DSS is the mandatory industry standard for companies handling, storing, and transporting credit card data.
The secured web hosting environment implements host intrusion detection, network intrusion detection, file integrity monitoring, and log monitoring. Web connections are protected by the Hyperguard Application firewall. Management access, including via the control panel, is secured with an encrypted VPN tunnel using two-factor authentication.
