Naomi Broady interview Part II

Born in Stockport on February 28, 1990, Naomi has been playing tennis for over a decade. From first taking to the court at the age of just seven, the Cheshire-born star showed a real aptitude for tennis. Hard work and dedication are the characteristics which have forged a wonderfully successful junior career culminating in her taking the title of UK under 18 girls champion in 2007.

Naomi is now 20 years old and continues to climb the WTA world rankings. She says her favourite surfaces are the speedy hard courts that support her big serve and powerful range of groundstrokes. She is also very much at home on grass, another surface that compliments her modern tennis style.

Naomi would like to thank the coaches and trainers who have helped throughout her tennis career including:- Dave Shaw, Brent Parker, Dave Sammel,Jez Green and Suzy Rhiley. Oh – and not forgetting her father! Thanks also to Cheshire County committee and helpers for their support. Naomi represents Manchester Northern Tennis Club playing NCL, many thanks to all the staff and friends at the club.
