Wipro, a large global information technology, consulting, and business process services company, has launched its FullStride Cloud Services, as well as a commitment to invest $1 billion over the next three years in cloud technologies, capabilities, acquisitions, and partnerships.
Wipro FullStride Cloud Services would bring together the complete portfolio of Wipro’s cloud-related skills, products, and expertise to better coordinate the cloud journey for customers as the cloud potential grows.
This commitment builds on Wipro’s existing and extensive cloud business with clients and significantly expands the investment with its partners and hyperscalers. Wipro’s cloud business has grown steadily, and it now employs over 79,000 cloud experts, including more than 10,000 individuals who have been certified by the top cloud service providers. Wipro has announced important cloud-related client wins with Telefónica Germany / O2, Verifone, and E.ON in the last 12 months, in addition to METRO AG, one of Wipro’s largest transactions ever.
“Today, cloud adoption is at the core of any IT transformation initiative, and our clients have been turning to Wipro for help with this,” said Thierry Delaporte, Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director, Wipro Limited. “With our $1 billion investment in cloud capabilities, and the launch of Wipro FullStride Cloud Services, we are in a far stronger position to simplify, orchestrate and accelerate the cloud journey for our clients.”
Cloud Strategy Support
Wipro FullStride Cloud Services would help clients better integrate business and IT with the cloud imperative, resulting in substantial business value and competitive differentiation. It would also boost their company agility, resilience, and technological investments in the direction of change and innovation. Wipro FullStride Cloud Services prioritizes the demands of clients and businesses while coordinating simplicity in a complex ecosystem.
“Cloud adoption and innovation are an essential part of our IT strategy,” said Timo Salzsieder, CIO, METRO AG. “For a company like METRO that operates in 25 countries, quickly migrating to the cloud enables decentralization, agility, speed and flexibility in engineering and development. We are delighted to have a multi-year strategic partner and leader like Wipro to support our cloud strategy and simplify a complex, technology ecosystem for our success and growth.”
Wipro FullStride Cloud Services is a partnership between Wipro’s Chief Growth Office and current Global Business Lines to provide clients, partners, and cloud specialists with an integrated and complete cloud transformation capability.
“With the introduction of the Chief Growth Office, we are renewing our focus on our global partnership ecosystem, amplifying and simplifying how we go to market together to orchestrate cloud transformation for our clients,” said Stephanie Trautman, Chief Growth Officer, Wipro Limited. “We will announce a new leader for this group very soon.”
