Graph Database Neo4j 5 Now Generally Available

Neo4j

Neo4j 5, a next-generation cloud-ready graph database, is now generally available. Neo4j 5 would widen the performance lead of native graphs over traditional databases while providing easier scale-out and scale-up across any deployment, whether on-premises, in the cloud, hybrid, or multi cloud.

“Graph technology adoption is accelerating as organizations seek better ways to leverage connections in data to solve complex problems at scale,” said Emil Eifrem, CEO and Co-founder of Neo4j.

The result of Neo4j 5 would empower organizations to quickly create and deploy intelligent applications at large scale while achieving greater value from their data.

“Graph technology adoption is accelerating as organizations seek better ways to leverage connections in data to solve complex problems at scale,” said Emil Eifrem, CEO and Co-founder of Neo4j. “We designed Neo4j 5 to deliver the type of scalability, agility, and performance that enable organizations to push the envelope on what’s possible for their data and their business.”

Neo4j 5 is available for download at neo4j.com/download-center and on AWS, Azure, and GCP Marketplaces.

Hybrid Cloud, Multi-Cloud

Neo4j 5’s specific benefits would include the following:

  • Query language improvements and faster query performance – Complex pattern-matching queries now be considerably simpler to create thanks to new syntax. Neo4j 5 is the quickest version yet thanks to advancements in indexes, query planning, and runtime. For instance, compared to Neo4j 4, multi-hop queries may now be processed “up to 1000x quicker.” These enhancements go beyond Neo4j’s graph results, which are already tenfold quicker than those of conventional databases. These advantages allow for greater real-time outcomes at scale.
  • Automated scale-out across hundreds of machines – Allowing self-managed clients to expand and manage a huge volume of inquiries with minimal manual labor and a very low infrastructure cost. This advantage is attained because to newly added and improved capabilities like Autonomous Clustering and Fabric, which let businesses manage very big graphs and scale out in any setting. Additionally, Neo4j 5 automates the distribution and reallocation of computer resources.
  • Continuous updates across all deployments – Whether on premises, in many clouds, hybrid, or on the cloud. Neo4j 5 guarantees continued compatibility between workloads that are self-managed and those that are managed by Aura. Neo4j Ops Manager, a brand-new solution that gives users complete control over their environments, offers a unified single pane for simple monitoring and administration of international deployments.
