Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS) hosting provider LayerHost.com has announced the public release of their 4Tbps DDoS mitigation service. In anticipation of continued growth of distributed denial of service (DDoS) attacks, LayerHost is providing this new service that can absorb DDoS attacks up to 4Tbps.
By providing 4 Tbps DDoS mitigation, LayerHost.com is able to protect their clients at a level that exceeds any attack known to date.

The LayerHost DDoS mitigation service key features include:
- The ability to handle multiple attacks at the same time
- ‘Always On’ technology, as opposed to on-demand or on request protection
- No Null Routes (or black hole routes) during the attack(s)
- GRE and Direct Connect DDoS mitigation available
The announcement follows the news of LayerHost.com opening their new data center location in Houston, Texas. The 350,000 square feet data center offers 24/7/365 security, as well as the power and security matching HPC environments. LayerHost.com now has two data center locations available, in Houston and Los Angeles respectively.
