Quantum Xchange Enters European Market

Quantum Machines

Announcing its entry into the European market, Quantum Xchange, which is bringing the future of encryption with a “ground-breaking” crypto-diverse management platform, has signed a strategic partnership with Iberian ITC services company Warpcom. As per the conditions of the deal, technology integrator Warpcom will bring Phio TX by Quantum Xchange to Spain and Portugal as part of its broad range of cybersecurity technology offerings and managed services.

Phio TX (Phio Trusted Xchange) is a unique key delivery system that works with an organization’s existing cryptographic infrastructure to make it immediately quantum-safe.

The Phio TX platform by Quantum Xchange supports all Post-Quantum Cryptographic (PQC) algorithms being evaluated by the U.S. National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST), is FIPS 140-2 validated and 140-3 pending, and complies with the European Telecommunication Standards Institute (ETSI) protocol for Quantum Key Distribution (QKD). It also has a diverse portfolio of current and post-quantum encryption technologies.

Pedro Morão, CEO at Warpcom
“The resiliency, redundancy, and hybrid nature of the Phio TX system will allow our customers to modernize their crypto infrastructure to better combat today’s cryptographic risks and bring quantum safety to the network’s edge,” said Pedro Morão, CEO at Warpcom.

Acquired by multinational cloud-services company Evolutio in November 2021, Warpcom is a technology integrator in the areas of Networking & Infrastructure, Collaboration & Customer Experience, Data Center & Multi Cloud, and Cybersecurity.

Warpcom clients, partners, and prospects would benefit from the “future-forward,” change-management platform that enables organizations to execute an enterprise crypto policy that evolves in lock step with the shifting threat landscape, advances in computing, and everyday cybersecurity risks.

“We are pleased to have Warpcom as an anchor partner in the European market,” said Eddy Zervigon, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) at Quantum Xchange. “Their proven track record, knowledge of the Spanish and Portuguese speaking markets, and skilled team of technology professionals is unmatched. Together, we will usher in the future of encryption and secure communications, bringing crypto-diversification and quantum-safety to Warpcom’s cybersecurity, network infrastructure, data center interconnects, and multi-cloud service offerings and client deployments.”

Conventional Encryption Systems

Global enterprises would be looking for solutions that are simple to install, simple to manage, and integrate with their current network infrastructure as they get ready for the biggest cryptographic shift in computer history – replacing old encryption with quantum-resistant algorithms. To send a second symmetric key out-of-band, down a separate quantum-protected tunnel and mesh network to multiple transmission points without a bump in the wire or new hardware on the critical path, Phio TX works in tandem with conventional encryption systems and any TCP/IP connection (wireless, copper, satellite, fiber).

“The resiliency, redundancy, and hybrid nature of the Phio TX system will allow our customers to modernize their crypto infrastructure to better combat today’s cryptographic risks and bring quantum safety to the network’s edge,” said Pedro Morão, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) at Warpcom. “This is especially important for securing digital transformation efforts and avoiding the high-cost of system obsolescence.”

Warpcom boasts a staff of more than 130 highly qualified individuals, offices in Lisbon, Porto, Faro, Funchal, and Madrid, more than 20 years of expertise, and a sizable network of reputable software and hardware partners. Additionally, Warpcom offers professional services, consulting services, support services, and managed services (NOC and SOC).

“5G will be the infrastructure in place when the era of quantum computing has fully arrived, adding new complexities and security concerns for leading telecommunications and network infrastructure providers,” said Bruno Banha, Solutions Design and Warpdev Director of Warpcom. “They must begin now to build a new security defense layer into their environments to protect against harvesting attacks and be quantum-secured later. We certainly have the knowledge to help.”
