T-Systems becomes an AWS Premier Consulting Partner

T-Systems, part of Deutsche Telekom and an international supplier of IT services, has achieved the highest partner level of the Amazon Web Services (AWS) Partner Program. The company has reached AWS Premier Tier as a Consulting Partner.

The award necessitates a significant amount of expertise. Premier Consulting Partners must, among other things, have a successful and proven track record of consulting and supporting their applications’ development, architecture, build, migration, and operation on AWS.

In 2018, the successful path for the company’s AWS journey began. T-Systems eventually joined the AWS Managed Service Provider (MSP) Program in May 2020. T-Systems added SAP on AWS expertise in late 2020 and enhanced it early this year with migration competency.

“When we achieved the MSP Program status, we have previously shown that we understand the AWS philosophy,” said Frank Strecker, Global SVP for Public Cloud at T-Systems. “The global transformation of IT landscapes to the cloud has virtually only just begun but it is already spreading rapidly. This makes the designation as a Premier Consulting Partner all the more important, as it certifies our international experience in this process. With our expertise in the SAP and migration environment, among others, we have continued to pave the way. I am proud of my team, whose commitment made the award possible.”

Certified Technical Consultants

T-Systems had to go through a rigorous approval process involving accreditations and certifications, establish a long-term commitment to AWS, and exhibit considerable competence in installing client solutions on AWS in order to become an AWS Premier Consulting Partner. A solid team of AWS qualified and certified technical consultants, as well as extensive knowledge in project management and professional services, is required of Premier Consulting Partners. The strategic partnership agreement between AWS and T-Systems, inked in 2020, laid the groundwork for this success.

In addition to the Premier Tier, T-Systems is also an AWS Direct Connect Delivery Partner, providing clients with secured access networks to AWS.

“We are pleased to recognize T-Systems as an AWS Partner Network (APN) Premier Consulting Partner,” said Christopher Sullivan, Global Director WW System Integrators & Strategic Alliances, AWS.T-Systems is helping organizations around the world accelerate their adoption of cloud technologies. The expansion demonstrates our mutual commitment to help customers transform their business with the scale, security, and agility of AWS.”

T-Systems intends to continue to add value through its strong partnership with AWS. Early in 2022, one of the short-term targets is to achieve the AWS Security Competency. Another is to make extended managed cloud solutions possible, with a heavy emphasis on security and data privacy.
