“DC BLOX believes that reliable, high-bandwidth, low-latency connectivity is the essential cornerstone of all digital acceleration, and Windstream’s quality offerings will bolster all capabilities of our customers and partners,” said Jeff Wabik, CTO at DC BLOX.

The Birmingham site of DC BLOX is a multi-tenant data center in Alabama that has gained Tier III Certification of Constructed Facility from Uptime Institute (TCCF). The certification would demonstrate that the data center can be maintained simultaneously, necessitating no shutdowns for equipment replacement or maintenance, and having no effect on IT operations. DC BLOX’s data center is situated close to the Innovation Depot and the University of Alabama campus in the heart of Birmingham.

DC BLOX believes that reliable, high-bandwidth, low-latency connectivity is the essential cornerstone of all digital acceleration, and Windstream’s quality offerings will bolster all capabilities of our customers and partners,” said Jeff Wabik, Chief Technology Officer (CTO) at DC BLOX. “Windstream’s service velocity and quality support further improve all aspects of the partnership. We are excited to welcome Windstream Wholesale further into the family of DC BLOX’s Edge-Connected Data centers, now also at our facility in Birmingham.”

By offering open and disaggregated networking infrastructure, Windstream’s Intelligent Converged Optical Network (ICON) would enable wholesale and enterprise technology clients to choose distinctive custom routes, maintain operational insights with Windstream’s Network Intelligence functions, and position their networks closer to the edge to better serve end users.
