Proofpoint, a global cybersecurity and compliance provider, has unveiled its new channel partner program to enable the IT channel to boost additional income streams and increase sales. The newly redesigned program would provide the channel the resources they need to deepen their connections with customers and increase win rates by way of broad sales enablement, easily accessible training materials, marketing development, and technical assistance.

“We built the Proofpoint Element Partner Program from the ground up based on extensive feedback from our channel partners,” said Joe Sykora, SVP Global Channel and Partner Sales at Proofpoint.

The Proofpoint Element Partner Program would eliminate the complexity frequently found in partner programs, allowing thousands of Proofpoint managed service providers (MSPs), managed security service providers (MSSPs), distributors, and value-added resellers (VARs) to access the company’s expanding portfolio of cybersecurity and compliance platforms to expand their businesses and boost their revenues.

“We built Proofpoint Element from the ground up based on extensive feedback from our channel partners,” said Joe Sykora, Senior Vice President Global Channel and Partner Sales at Proofpoint. “Far too many partner programs are bogged down by unnecessary complexity, and that’s why we’re excited to bring a simplified, modern, and clear-to-understand program that adds true partner value. We’re bolstering our investment in the people, platforms, and tools that strengthen our partners’ overall position and market opportunity.”

MSPs, MSSPs, VARs

The Proofpoint Element Partner Program would now provide two levels, ‘Core’ and ‘Elite,’ along with improved advantages. All Proofpoint channel ecosystem partners may distinguish their services to meet market demands thanks to a “clear” route to Elite status. Through substantial sales enablement, easy training materials, marketing development, and technical support, the recently updated program would also give the IT channel the tools they might need to strengthen their client connections while achieving improved win rates. The two partner levels include the following:

  • Core Tier – No matter whether they are MSPs, MSSPs, or VARs, all IT channel partners begin at the Core tier. Maintaining Core status has minimum criteria, and Core partners get a lot of perks including deal registration, sales certifications, technical training, and awards to help them sell and support Proofpoint products.
  • Elite Tier – Elite channel partners, who are a part of the premium tier, fulfill the strictest revenue targets, make investments in sales and technical training, and aggressively market Proofpoint products. Elite tier partners would get a number of top-tier perks in exchange, including large deal registration discounts, a dedicated Channel Account Manager, precedence in the distribution of available marketing funds, and more. A Value Incentive Rebate based on agreements for revenue development made in a combined annual business plan may also be advantageous to them.

Key Benefits of the Proofpoint Element Partner Program would include:

  • Updated discounting scheme and increased partner safety
  • Opportunity for partners to build on top of Proofpoint’s best-in-class technology with their own suite of services to boost profitability, recurring income, and client loyalty
  • Improved tools to support partners’ faster, more reliable, and more effective operations
  • Provisioning was prioritized, and deployment times were cut down to increase customer satisfaction
  • Specialized routes with a stronger emphasis on partner competencies and more resources, such lab access
  • A team of portfolio specialists has been assigned to assist with go-to-market strategies, customer dialogues, and business planning
  • Comprehensive partner training, sales support, and technical tools and assistance

To increase brand recognition, produce more leads, and expand the business, marketing assistance is provided. This includes marketing development, such as personalized content and tailored campaigns, as well as access to knowledgeable Proofpoint Channel Account Managers, Channel Marketing Managers, global program managers, and Field Marketing Managers.

To speed up channel expansion, dedicated A/B environments are used for internal testing, training, and client demonstrations.
